3 topics

Today I will be talking about what is a purpose of a blog. A purpose of a blog is to give updates, express your ideas and opinions and to entertain the readers. They are well known as to inform, persuade, entertain. Those are the 3 things that are recommended in a blog .

Entertainment:
When writing a blog, you need to have some entertainment in your aticle and stories to make the readers read more.

- I chose the blog "Kim Jong-il looking at things." for entertainment because I think that they are trying to entertain readers by having less information and more pictures. Although I appreciate on how the writer put several pictures of Kim Jong-il looking at things. They did a good job on entertaining people because most people these days, they like to look at pictures than the information. http://kimjongillookingatthings.tumblr.com/.

-I chose the blog http://www.slashfilm.com/ because some people might find this entertaining because its giving updates on what is happening movies. It entertains them to know what movies have been released. But the blog is also an inform blog.

Inform:
When writing a blog, you need to inform people on whats happening and you should have specific information for them to know what you are informing.

- I chose the blog "Where to turn in the Wake of Debit card fees" for inform because it's informing people that the bank of America will be charging $5 per month for using debit cards. It is important that they are informing us especially with this type of situation to warn the people that own a debit card. http://lifehacker.com/5846969/where-to-turn-in-the-wake-of-debit-card-fees.

-I chose the blog http://www.bloglockers.com/ for inform because they are giving updates on sports. It is important that they are informing people about sports, especially the people that are into sports so that they know what's happening in the world.

Persuade:
A blog persuades or convince a person to agree on their idea.

- I chose the blog http://gizmodo.com/ because the writer is convincing or persuading the readers to buy the new electronics. On the blog, it is like an advertisement because it tries to sell it's product.

-I chose the blog http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/ because they were trying to persuade and share there opinions to make a difference. I think that this is a good usage of a blog because people might feel that they should do something about it.

That's it for today. Hope you learned something from this blog. Bye!
